Bee Snacks

November 1, 2000

These activities go along with my other articles about bees. View them all to get the complete unit study.

Purchase 3-4 kinds of honey from a health food store. Try eucalyptus, rainforest, clover, apple or the like. After telling the kids how honey is made, pass out crackers and spread each cracker with a different type of honey. Let the kids do a taste test to see which kind they like best. We liked the rain forest the best.

Warning :  Children under 2 should never eat honey.

Purchase and sample some honey comb from the health food store.
